Having walked by many times, I never had the chance to try Toomie's. But we finally stopped by for dinner on Saturday. Located on Park off Santa Clara, we were able to get seated right away around 6pm as the restaurant was about 75% full. Restaurant is nicely decorated and bright. Their menu is extensive and it is helpful in that there is a picture of each dish with a description including the ingredients. Our dishes: Yellow curry with chicken (Gaeng Garee) - Though it was listed with a pepper on the menu, it was not spicy. With potatoes, carrots, onions and bell peppers, the coconut milk curry was tasty and the chicken was tender and moist. Pad See Ew chicken - the dish uses fresh wide rice noodles with eggs, Chinese broccoli, and broccoli and the chicken was tender. Coconut rice - though not listed on the menu, the waitress said they had it. It was served in a square bowl and it was generous serving. Very good coconut flavor with fried coconut strips. The rice went well with the curry. We had to wait for about five minutes before the rice was brought to the table. With very good Thai food and friendly service, we will be back when we are craving Thai food.

We came here on Valentine's Day and the food tasted so amazing! Everything that we ordered: Panang curry: really rich and sweet and creamy! It tasted similar to Tom yum but we creamy goodness. The chef was very generous with their portions as well! For me this was the star of the show The panang curry doesn't come with rice so we had to order it on the side Thai tea: this was soooo good! Usually I try to make it at home but it doesn't taste as similar I loved it so much. It was sweet yet bitter! Also a bonus, not too sweet! The pad kee mao! I enjoyed this immensely! I don't usually order this but I was shocked by the smoky flavors. The way it was cooked gave it the wok hei flavor, which was so delicious!!! Lastly, the pad Thai wasn't that bad, it's usually my go to item, but the noodles were a bit overcooked. However, the presentation was nice. What helped was we asked for more lime to bring out the sour taste! :-) Additionally, everything was generously portioned that we had left overs for breakfast the next day! I will definitely be coming back again!

I Doordashed this order, so I will only be talking about the food. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo. I had the veggie and tofu Pad Kee Mao with mild spicyness, and Thai Iced Tea. As can be inferred from above, they are friendly to vegan and vegetarian options. The noodles were great, with a generous amount of toppings to the point that there were probably more veggies and tofu than noodles. The Thai Iced Tea was, well, Thai Iced Tea, and good. While normally it's on the pricier side, there was a BOGO free deal for both items on Doordash, which encouraged me to try it. They offer either paper or plastic packaging for the environmentally conscious. Overall, with the deal the price was very reasonable, especially for this economy. ADDING FEEDBACK ON MORE DISHES AS I GO ALONG: Pad See Ew: Also great, classic Pad See Ew of a good portion size.

Great Service, beautiful and relaxing ambiance, and flavorful food with generous portions. Also resonably priced.

The food was served timely and fresh. This was a return visit and I was satisfied with this visit. The service is friendly and seems like they take a lot of takeout orders. The ambiance is casual. Would recommend giving this Thai place a try and will return.

I recently dined here for lunch. Such a great experience! I was seated promptly in a corner table. My food came out fast and fresh! There were many other guests. Really warm and welcoming! Lovely atmosphere!

This restaurant has been here for years! We even lived in Alameda for some years & still never went, till last week. lol (As of Oct 2024) It's conveniently on Park Street where it's very busy. Passed by it many times. Big portions of food. Yummy. It's just kinda slow when asking for something like a fork or something, and this is when it wasn't busy. That's my only negative feedback. Anyway, now, I know this is a good Thai restaurant, finally after all these years not going. Haha It's holding up well.

Absolutely fantastic! Toomie's Thai in Alameda never disappoints. The food is always hot, plentiful, and authentically delicious. Providing enough for two or even three meals. My recent pickup was perfectly timed (GrubHub)--hot and ready when I arrived. If you're looking for consistently amazing Thai cuisine, Toomie's is the place to go! Five stars without a doubt.
